ProfDevPlus is an online professional development platform that is available for all teachers
It not only supports aspiring teachers to get ready to be a teacher, but also provides skills, knowledge and helpful tips to get a job. It also enhances newly qualified teachers and those aspiring to be teachers to gain training and development to be better equipped to do the job.
This is achieved in their own time, at their own pace, in a cost effective way.
Pinnock Consulting develops all of the resources and courses available on ProfDevPlus. They are an internationally recognised organisation that offers multi-faceted educational services both locally in South Africa and internationally. They promote and develop quality and sustainable education and take creative, effective, and innovative business practices and apply them to education.
Pinnock Consulting’s products and services include:
• Developing and presenting effective training and presentations,
• Designing and development of online training platforms
• Conceptualising and development of online materials
• Conversion of face-to-face workshops and seminars to ‘online ready’ material
• Hosting and administration of online training platforms
• Create networking opportunities,
• Quality assure schools, institutions, projects and processes,
• Carry out action research,
• Provide SACE-accredited, online courses to educators wishing to gain CPD points, and
• Develop training and curriculum resources.
There are three ways to purchase courses:
1. Individual course purchase
Each ProfDevPlus course is individually priced. They can be purchased separately.
2. Membership purchase
Users can purchase a membership to ProfDevPlus. One annual payment will give the member access to all of the courses for a year.
3. Special Bundle offer
Occasionally ProfDevPlus have special offers where bundles of courses can be purchased. One payment will allow the user to enrol in multiple courses.
ProfDevPlus is an online professional development platform that is available for all teachers, management teams, education specialists and government officials throughout South Africa in both rural and urban schools.
Yes. You are able to complete the courses in your own time at your own pace and on any internet or mobile device.
Most of the courses can be completed within 1 hour of starting. This will all depend on each individual person and the speed at which they grasp the content.
CERTIFICATION QUESTIONS
Upon completion of a course, you will receive a certificate of completion. You can download directly from the site in pdf version and store it for your records.
ProfDevPlus does not email certificates directly to the users. Your certificates are stored under your profile on the site. You can download them and print them at any stage. On the left hand side bar (blue) click on the certificate button and download your certificate.
No, certificates are issued automatically on the site. They will not be emailed directly to you, but can be accessed under your profile on the site.
No problem. Certificates are issued automatically on the site and the information that you typed in for your registration is automatically placed on your certificate. If your name and surname are incorrect, you need to go to ‘my profile’ and correct it there.
All ProfDevPlus courses are endorsed by SACE. You therefore earn SACE points for each certificate earned by completing a course. Once you have received your certificate, log into the SACE site and log your points.
ACCOUNT QUESTIONS
If you forgot your password, visit ProfDevPlus and click the Lost your Password? link located just below the Username and Password fields on the Login screen.
Next, enter your username or email address and click Enter.
No problem. Follow the above instructions for resetting your password. Our system will only accept email addresses that have accounts associated with them. If you type in an email address that is not the one you used to sign up with ProfDevPlus, our system will display an (!) Email Not Found notification. If this happens to you, then keep trying out your various email addresses until you find the one that our system recognizes. Then hit the Send Reset Instructions button, and go to your inbox to check for an email from us.
